We Love Roleplay Event Timeline:
- Signups: 5th-11th (for upcoming round)
- Payments: 12th-17th (for the upcoming round)
- Set up: 1st-3rd
- Setup Deadline: 3rd at 1pm SLT
- If you are running late, Extended Deadline must be purchased prior to Setup Deadline
- Extended Deadline: 4th at 1am SLT (2000L)
** Please note: There are NO Rounds in January or August!
Designer Content Guidelines
- At least one exclusive item is required.
- Exclusive means "NEW" and ONLY available at the event for the duration of the round.
- In addition, ONE older/non-exclusive other item may be placed out in your booth
- NO Full Permission items are allowed to be sold at the event.
- NO meshes from 3rd party mesh websites.
- If you purchase any full-perm items from the marketplace, the onus is on you to be sure they are not taken from somewhere else. If you are found breaking this rule (intentionally or not), your items will be immediately removed from the event without refund and your brand will be placed on probation.
- No meshes COPIED from 3rd party mesh sites are allowed. (Basically this means, if we can tell it was "inspired" by a particular item from a 3rd party mesh site, then we will ask you to remove it. We are not going to take the time to "spot the differences". There needs to be at LEAST a 50% difference)
- The items should all fit the following themes: Medieval (Fantasy), Gor, Ancient Rome/Greece/Egypt, Victorian, Vikings, Barbarians, Native American, Wizards* (Merlin etc.), Steampunk, Fantasy, Sci Fi, Post Apocalyptic, 1950s (and earlier) and similar themes. Please keep this in mind in regards to textures etc.
This means: NO casual or mainstream items at all! NO URBAN! Also, make sure you make items that fit the above themes.
** If you are unsure, please contact a staff member PRIOR to setup. - Booth sharing is NOT allowed. Collaborations are okay as long as all collaborating designers are approved prior to signup.
Contact a team member if you wish to offer a collaboration item. - Participation is required at least once every 3 months. (3 times per year minimum)
- Upon acceptance to the event, you must participate within 3 months.
- Designers that participate 9 times in a year will have the option to join the December round for free.
Setup Guidelines
- You and permitted to have ONE older/non-exclusive item an addition to your exclusive.
- All items MUST be marked with a discount sign. (15%-30%)
- Prim count: 70 prims are allowed. You cannot purchase extra prims.
** DEMO area is provided for oversized builds** - NO scrolling vendors
- Do not display any overtly sexual images. The sim is moderate/mature.
- If you need to drop out prior to setup and have already paid, no refunds will be given.
- Set up only when you are ready. Booths cannot be reserved.
**Half set up booths WILL BE RETURNED without warning. - All items (including logos and signs), must be kept inside your booth.
- Every booth will be checked for compliance to the rules. Once approved, your logo will be placed above your booth.
**Please do NOT place your own LOGO** - If you are running late, you MUST purchase a 12 hour deadline extension prior to official deadline and contact a staff member.(2000L: available at WLRP)
- If you are more than an hour late and have not spoken to a staff member, you will be removed from the round and replaced. No exceptions and no refunds will be given. You will also be placed on a one month probation and won't be considered for the next round you wish to participate in (besides waiting list). If this happens more than three times, you will be entirely removed from the event.
If you fail to setup on time 3 rounds in a row, you will be removed from the event. You may re-apply at a later time.
Review Copies
- Review copies are recommended, but not required. A blogger room has been provided. Please do not send review copies through the group. You are welcome to look at our blogger list and send directly instead.
- When providing review copies in our blogger room, please be sure all your items are in ONE box. Only exclusive items can be placed in the blogger room.
Early Access Information
- An early access pass allows a handful of customers to enter the sim 24 hours prior to public opening. We offer several options for attendees of the event to gain early access. You are welcome to promote this to your customer base. For more info on what the options or check our Early Access page.
- Early access starts, when the set up deadline ends. So, it’s in your own best interest to be on time with your event set up.
- Approved Blogger groups get access one day before opening for a few hours.
In Case of Legal Issues
What happens if I get caught using copyrighted material?
If you get caught using copyrighted material, you will be removed from our event and your current items will be returned until the matter is solved to our satisfaction.
What happens if someone files a DMCA against me?
Should an issue arise regarding a designer and/or a particular mesh at the event, we will suspend that designer (and if necessary remove items from current round) until matters are resolved to our satisfaction. As an aside, we will not jump to conclusions and give the designer time to answer any questions/allegations brought up.
In addition, WLRP will NEVER publicly discuss what happens with a designer. That is between staff and the designer ONLY.
